Team Dues and Expenses

Startup Costs:
 The following are one-time costs incurred upon joining the swim team:
 1.   $50 Team initiation
 2.   $63 Alaska/USS swimming dues.  These dues are paid yearly and support swimming in Alaska and throughout the United States.  Students will receive “Splash” magazine.

So, the total for starting with Chugiak Aquatics Club is $113.

Monthly Dues:
 Swimmers pay monthly dues based on age.
 1.   Bronze 8 years and under or beginning stroke-schoolers  $95
 2.   Silver 9-12 Years  $105
 3.   Gold 13-14 Years  $115
 4.   Platinum 15 and older  $125
 5.   Inactive Dues  $50

A discount is offered for families with more than one child.  The amount of the discount applies to the monthly dues only and is $10 for each additional child.  A family of three active swimmers would get $20 off of their monthly dues.
A swimmer can go inactive by notifying the coach and treasurer before the 20th of the month preceding the inactive month.  The treasurer can be notified by emailing Garrity_Patrick@mac.com. 
The inactive fee is $50 per month during the inactive period.

Other Charges:  Swim meets require the payment of entry fees and event fees.  These fees are charged after the meet.  It important to know, however, that the charges are incurred when the swimmer signs up for the meet.  If the swimmer withdraws from the meet, they must still pay the meet fees.
